Growing Eden is a garden-based program for parents and their children. We especially welcome families who are refugees, low-income, or new immigrants from the neighbourhood who are interested in learning about the pleasures of growing and eating your own garden harvest.
We connect children ages 0-5 with people who love nature, gardening and growing one’s own food. Foster key life skills in children, an enjoyment of outdoors and develop a love for healthy food by enjoying the accomplishment of growing one’s own garden, by harvesting and eating from the garden, by trying “new” foods, and by learning each week about how various veggies build health.
This program is a partnership between Farmers on 57th, South Vancouver Neighbourhood House and South Vancouver Family Place.
